We arrived there around 11am. The farm looks empty. Nobody was there. My dad try to call the owner but he can’t reach him. So we just took a look at the pool from outside the fence.

What’s the interesting fact about leech breeding is:

1. Like earthworms, leeches are hermaphrodites (an organism having both male and female reproductive organs). It will become a female after reaching certain size.

2. Leeches is painless to take care because it hard to get diseases.

3. For every 100kg leeches, it need around 30-40kg eels as the main source food.

4. Leeches can suck the blood 5 times more than it weight.

5. The international and local demand for leeches is high, mainly for beauty care and medical reasons.

6. Each leech can fetch you RM1 or more, de-pending on size. Usually it sells in kilogram which it can go from RM60 to RM180 per kilogram.
